Increase alloy yield and increase benefits
In the steelmaking process cost, alloy cost accounts for one-third of the process processing cost, and alloy cost reduction is crucial in steelmaking cost reduction. After careful sorting, the first converter operation area decided to do a good job in reducing costs and increasing efficiency in terms of improving alloy yield. The operation area started with strengthening Als control, strictly controlling the oxygen content and temperature of the converter end, optimizing the timing of alloy addition and the ladle argon blowing process, reducing alloy burnout, refining the alloy amount calculation formula, and improving the narrow component hit rate of alloy elements. By strengthening the execution of standardized operations and holding "review meetings" after work every day, the alloy yield rate is continuously improved, thereby reducing alloy costs. As of the end of May, the first converter operation area achieved a cost reduction of 2.25 million yuan in Als control alone.
Repair the taper instrument to control costs
The crystallizer is the "heart" of the slab continuous casting machine. The taper instrument is mainly used to detect the taper data of the crystallizer. Only accurate inverted taper can ensure the production of qualified castings. The taper meter is a high-precision device with an accuracy requirement of 0.1mm. If an abnormality occurs, it needs to be sent back to the manufacturer for repair. The unit price of repairing and replacing components is as high as 10,000 yuan. We can also do precision repairs ourselves! The first continuous casting operation area organized business backbones to set up a repair research team, consulted the information to master the principle, and replaced the damaged components by themselves. After comparison, the measurement data of the repaired taper meter reached the measurement accuracy requirements of the slab process. As of the end of May, the operation area had independently repaired 3 taper meters, saving more than 40,000 yuan in maintenance costs.
Make the most of it
Maintaining the crane wire rope is an effective way to extend the service life of the wire rope. In the past, to lubricate the wire rope, employees had to carry a large bucket of oil to the crane. The narrow aisle of the crane made it very inconvenient to carry the oil barrel. At the same time, the large opening of the oil barrel made it difficult to control the amount of oil, resulting in inadequate maintenance of the wire rope and serious leakage of lubricating oil. The employees in the operation area brainstormed on this issue and installed an oil outlet and handle on the discarded 5L paint bucket to make a simple oiler that is convenient for use on the crane. The use of the homemade refueling bottle saves 45L of lubricating oil per month, achieving a cost reduction of 3,600 yuan.
